Italy, Ferrari Tour and Small Group to the South

We had a fantastic trip with lots of good memories.
All the train travel worked out well – there was a train strike on the day we were to travel from Modena to Florence however because our train was an intercity train from Milan, it ran on time.
We appreciated the transfer at Malpensa to Milan city, it was quick and efficient. During our walking tour of Milan (we saw the Last Supper) some of the other tourists said taxis were charging 99 Euros for a one way fare from the airport.
The Hotel Galileo was okay, a little bit out of date but a good location. The breakfast was good and generally the wifi worked well.
The experience in Maranello was very good. The hotel was friendly and the people from the tourist office were really helpful. Max of course loved his Ferrari drive – I think you saw his Facebook video. The meals at the two restaurants were excellent and very comprehensive. We would definitely recommend this package.
The tour down South was very good. Roberto who picked us up from the Hotel was very charming, our tour had just six people – a couple from Brazil, two American ladies and ourselves. We stopped off at a fantastic winery called Sorrentino on the way to Pompei. The winery was interesting and the food and wine very good. Antonio the owner was funny and very friendly – we bought a couple of bottles of wine to bring back to Australia. Max really enjoyed Pompei (I had visited before). We eventually arrived in Sorrento and met with Marco, our contact. The tour was professionally organised and the hotel had a very good location – it was definitely worth the upgrade to have the view. Alessandro was our tour guide for Pompei and also for the trip to Capri (he spoke Portuguese and English) – he was very good. Marco was our tour guide for the drive along the Amalfi coast with Paolo our very experienced driver. We enjoyed Sorrento as it was not too crazy with tourists, unlike Positano and we enjoyed the local food and wine (limoncello). On the last night we went to a restaurant (Il Borgo) in the hills for a sunset dinner – this was okay however the woman driver from the restaurant was 20 mins late and drove like a crazy woman up around the hills (it wasn’t just because she was late, she drove like this on the way home). So we were a bit late for a full sunset viewing, the meal was okay however we all a bit unsettled after the drive up.
So as I said we had a great trip, ate and drank lots and we would definitely go back to Italy again to see some different areas. Everyone was friendly and I had a chance to use my Italian which seemed to help in most situations.
Thank you again for your help and organisation – we will definitely recommend your services to our friends.

Grazie mille Jess and Max
